Northeast Independent School District
August, 2014 – present: Ronald Reagan High School
Social studies teacher with teaching responsibilities centering on AP Human Geography and Honors World Geography curriculum. Active member of NEISD Professional Learning communities, leading and attending 200+ hours of professional development.

August, 1999 – 2014: Theodore Roosevelt High School
Served as social studies teacher and Social Studies Dean of Instruction for Roosevelt HS Cluster- aligning TEKS-aligned instruction for grades 9 – 12, creating data-driven assessments, and acting as a liaison between teachers and administrators. Teaching responsibilities center on Pre AP World Geography curriculum.
San Antonio Independent School District
August, 1997 – May, 1999: Sam Houston High School Recruited to teach in the honors program of the Communication Arts Magnet School, leading and mentoring a group of 100 academically gifted students. Developed Expeditionary Learning curriculum and set up small group student programs.
October, 1988 – May, 1997: Davis Middle School
Primary teaching responsibility was teaching sixth grade social studies. I served as department chairperson from August 1989 through May 1992. I was then chosen by my principal as teaming coordinator for the sixth grade, leading a group of eighteen teachers.
